Shahid picked the call and the moment the person on the other end said hello, he got to know that it's Amy.

Amy: hello

Shahid: hello... Whose this? (Though he knows that, it was Amy, he wants to create a kinda hype)

Amy: Stop joking... Listen... I need a help....

Shahid: help? (With a smiling voice) Tell me...

Amy: Can you help me with my Assignment front Page? I have tried a lot of times, but I'm not getting the alignment properly, can you get my front page done, when you will come to college tomorrow?

Shahid: okay, but what will you give me in return?

Amy: I will pay you money. What else?

Shahid: I don't want money, I want something else.

Amy: what? What do u want?

Shahid: That...... You need to say I love you Shahid... Juz once...coz I wanna hear it from you.

Amy: No need, i will itself take the print out

Shahid: no no i will take it. By the way, is this your number?

Amy: nope this is my Appa's Number.

Shahid: Can i have your number?

Amy: i don't have a phone, I'm using my mom's phone.

Shahid: never mind, give me that number.

Amy: nop, i won't give. By the way, Why do you need that number?

Shahid: So that I can always talk to you. And may be...............😬

Amy: You can text here, if there is something important.

"Amy........"

(Shahid could hear Somebody was calling Amy's name on the background)

Amy: Shahid we just came back from the Church, I didn't even had my breakfast yet So mom is calling me for breakfast, i will call you some other time.

Shahid: hey don't go... Stay there... One last thing before you leave... Which church do you go to for sunday mass?

Amy: Loured cathedral or there is another church which is near to my house itself...bye, I'm disconnecting... take care

Shahid: mmm...

He was an exception to the law of universal gravitation at that Moment. He was on cloud 9

The next day he went to college, along with the front page for her assignment.. Shahid just handed over the front page to her and she had paid him with 5 rupee coin, actually he had accepted that, coz the coin was from her. So he wanted to keep it with him...it has got her touch and fragrance so it's really priceless for him.

Later she had submitted the assignment and it got accepted. On the same day evening, he had received a text message from Amy by saying thanks and that was the Beginning of everything.

They have started chatting over text message ( they didn't have any other options coz whatsapp was not introduced in those days, and after the facebook incident, she had deleted her facebook account as well)

So the only way to keep in touch with her was a text message. They spoke about a lot of things. They have discussed everything under the sky. But everything will end up in love and again he will start convincing her.

Since there was not much regulation from TRAI for text messages they had the option of sending 365 messages per day. Their class timing were 8.45 am to 1.45 pm the moment she reaches home she will start texting him. That texting session will continue till 4 or 5 am in the morning. Though it's her Appa's phone, she use to snatch it all the time. Initially she was not Even listening when Shahid tries to convince her, coz whenever he is trying convince her, She use to come up with some counter statement, slowly Shahid started noticing the change in her character and the way she use to respond. They both didn't miss a single opportunity to talk to each other. They even finish their 365 text message quota and after that he will text her from some sites like

(These are sites where people can send messages to any phone number in India. In fact the number also will not be disclosed. So even if someone wants to block the messages, it's impossible coz everytime message will go from different numbers.)

So if at all Shahid finish his 365 messages quota, he used to depend on these sites.

They started talking, day and night they both forgets to sleep... They used to talk everyday till 5am in the morning. Though they used to talk a lot over text message, in front of their classmates they were like total strangers or rather enemies. But still since they both don't sleep much, they can't control their yawn and they used to yawn in the class by looking at each other, and they used to smile without anyone noticing them. While they were in classroom they were mostly communicating to each other with their eyes instead of words...

The saddest part of their story is that she didn't accept his proposal orally though she used to talk to him day n night. The funniest thing in the text messaging was, once Amy told Shahid that, "all your messages are read by my appa before me, just now he had given me his phone saying that, your boyfriend is texting you." Actually Shahid got shocked after hearing that. The kind of freedom that he had given to his daughter. Shahid really got impressed by him. Even Shahid told the same to Amy..

In between that their 2nd semester final came, Shahid and Amy sat on the same row in the examination hall. Actually half of his time he is spending on her by simply looking at her, he find her more beautiful when he saw her mannerisms and expression on the exam hall. He forgets everything when he looked at her while writing the exam. Even the answers, he felt like in a different world 😆

Days passed...their 2nd semester exam got over, they were getting more closer day by day. From 3rd semester they had a subject called quantitative techniques, since it was a maths related subject, it was really difficult for Shahid, though he was in good studies, his numerical skills was very poor. Shahid literally struggled a lot with this subject, so Amy decided to teach him. She used to explain the concept again and again even with the steps over the text message. Amy use to do all the homework for Shahid, she always use to type the problems with solutions on a text message and she use to send it to Shahid, since she was using a basic phone, she can't take the picture and send, so she use to type the entire answer on a text message which too lengthy, most of them has got 2 or 3 page length. All those things made him fall for her more and more. Though She had expressed her feelings indirectly, she had never accepted his proposal orally, even she didn't share her personal number as well. So Shahid was little confused about her answer. coz he was thinking if she has got some feelings for him, then at least she would have disclosed her personal number.

He was always expecting her call, he strongly believed that one day she gonna call him from her personal number. And one day evening while chatting with Amy, Shahid received a call from an unknown number. Shahid picked up the phone.
